Fix 1: Turn off the “Search” feature

  1. Go to DeepSeek and log in to your account.
  2. Select the “Search” icon to turn it off.
  3. Try entering a prompt again.

Fix 2: Wait until the API/Chat service is back up

  1. Check DeepSeek’s status here: https://status.deepseek.com/.
  2. Scroll down and check the API Service and Web Chat Service status.
  3. If the status is red (Major Outage), it means that the service is down.
  4. Wait until the status is green (No Downtime), before you can use DeepSeek.

Fix 3: Delete browser/app cache

  • Chrome (deepseek.com): Three dots > More tools > Clear browsing data > Select a time range (e.g. last 7 days) > Clear data.
  • iPhone app: Open the Settings app > General > iPhone Storage > DeepSeek > Offload App > Offload App > Reinstall App.
  • Android app: Open the Settings app > Apps > App management > DeepSeek > Force stop > Storage usage > Clear data > Clear cache.
