Explanation
Half Measures is a transcription puzzle hidden in the Boat Trial’s speedometer. Normally, the boat’s max speed to fill the speedometer bar is 42. However, once you begin the time trial, the max speed value changes at each checkpoint.
Recording the max speed needed to fill the bar at the start and after every checkpoint produces a sequence of numbers: 12 4 8 10 9 2 7 13 11 16 14 2 5 3 6 15 1.
