To Align the Echo by Approaching it from a Specific Angle in Alan Wake 2, you need to stand a distance away from it.

Try looking in between the two cones and adjusting your stance until the circle fully lights up.

Here’s how to do this (expand the second screenshot above):

  1. Stand a distance away from the echo.
  2. Look in between the two cones, but stand slightly on the left.

After you’ve completed the objective, you’ll get a new plot element.

The new plot element is “Missing FBI Agent” and you can rewrite it into reality on the Plot Board.
