How to break green shields in God Of War Ragnarok

To break green shields in God of War Ragnarok, you need to continue forward until you meet Sindri.

After you’ve met Sindri, a cutscene will play, and Atreus will learn a new ability called “Skjalfa”.

The ability can break green shiny objects in the game including the green shields.

Here is the full process (expand the screenshots above):

  1. Continue forward until you meet Sindri and a cutscene will play.
  2. Hold L2 to aim and press the square button to command Atreus to shoot a Sonic Arrow.
  3. Go back to the green shields and shoot a Sonic Arrow to break them.

After you’ve broken the green shields, you’ll be able to loot a chest inside it and get one of Kvasir’s poems.

Once you’ve looted everything, go back and continue your journey.
