How to Buy HODL Coin (HODL)

To buy HODL coin, you need to download Trust Wallet and enable the DApp browser.

Then, you can swap Binance coin (BNB) for HODL on PancakeSwap.

HODL is a smooth yield farming and liquidity creation platform.

It has multiple features such as daily rewards in BNB.

4% of every transaction is given to HODL holders in BNB.

In addition, it has an anti-whale mechanism that mitigates trades of more than 1% of the total supply.

As of June 2021, HODL has over 60k holders and over 30k followers on Twitter.

Here’s how you can buy HODL:

  1. Download Trust Wallet
  2. Copy your Smart Chain address on Trust Wallet
  3. Buy BNB on Binance
  4. Transfer BNB from Binance to Trust Wallet
  5. Copy HODL’s contract address
  6. Add HODL to Trust Wallet
  7. Enable the DApp browser on Trust Wallet
  8. Swap BNB for HODL on PancakeSwap

1. Download Trust Wallet

Firstly, you need to download Trust Wallet.

Trust Wallet allows you to store cryptocurrencies and use decentralized exchanges like PancakeSwap.

Go to the App Store or Google Play Store and search for “Trust Wallet”.

Then, download Trust Wallet and create a new wallet.

In the wallet creation process, you’ll be given a recovery phrase.

The recovery phrase is like your password which is used to access your wallet.

Hence, you need to make sure to copy and paste your recovery phrase someplace safe.

Lastly, you need to verify your recovery phrase.

Simply drag and drop the words in the correct order.

Once you’ve verified your recovery phrase, your wallet will be successfully created.

2. Copy your Smart Chain address on Trust Wallet

On Trust Wallet, navigate to your wallet.

On your wallet, you’ll see a list of cryptocurrencies.

Tap on “Smart Chain” to open your Smart Chain wallet.

On your Smart Chain wallet, you’ll see four icons including “Send”, “Receive”, “Copy”, and “More”.

Tap on “Copy” to copy your Smart Chain wallet on Trust Wallet.

You’ll need to send BNB to this wallet later on.

3. Buy BNB on Binance

Get started on Binance here: https://www.binance.com/en/register?ref=73583477 or use “73583477” as the referral code.

Now, you need to buy some BNB.

This is because you can only buy the HODL token with BNB.

You can either buy BNB on Trust Wallet or a cryptocurrency exchange like Binance.

However, it’s highly recommended that you buy BNB on Binance instead of Trust Wallet.

This is because the providers on Trust Wallet charge a very high fee of up to 5%.

On the other hand, Binance has a 0.1% spot trading fee.

Firstly, install the Binance app on the App Store or Google Play Store.

Once you’re on the app, you need to create a new account.

You can use the referral link or code above to create a Binance account.

After you’ve created an account, navigate to “BNB” and buy a minimum of 0.1 BNB.

4. Transfer BNB from Binance to Trust Wallet

After you’ve bought BNB from Binance, you need to transfer it to your Smart Chain wallet on Trust Wallet.

This is because you need to swap BNB for HODL on Trust Wallet later on.

Firstly, navigate to your wallet on Binance.

Then, tap on “BNB” to open your BNB wallet.

On your BNB wallet, tap on “Withdraw”.

After you’ve tapped on “Withdraw”, the “Withdraw BNB” page will open.

There are multiple fields on the page including “Address”, “Network”, and “Amount”.

Firstly, paste your Smart Chain wallet’s address from Trust Wallet on the “Address” field.

You should have copied your BNB wallet’s address from Trust Wallet in the second step.

On the “Network” field, make sure that “BEP20 (BSC)” is selected.

If it isn’t, tap on the field and change it to “BEP20 (BSC)”.

Then, enter the amount of BNB that you want to withdraw.

Minimally, you need to withdraw 0.1 BNB.

Lastly, tap on “Withdraw” to transfer your BNB to your Smart Chain wallet on Trust Wallet.

5. Copy HODL’s contract address

Now, you need to copy HODL’s contract address.

Firstly, go to CoinMarketCap.com and search for “HODL”.

Alternatively, you can visit the HODL token here: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/hodl/.

Once you’re on the HODL token’s page, scroll down until you reach the “Contracts” tab.

On the tab, tap on the duplicate icon to copy HODL’s contract address.

You need this address to import the token to Trust Wallet later on.

6. Add HODL to Trust Wallet

Now, go back to your wallet on Trust Wallet.

On your wallet, you’ll see a Setting icon on the top-right corner.

Tap on the Setting icon to open the “Manage” page.

After you’ve tapped on the Setting icon, the “Manage” page will open.

On the “Manage” page, you’ll see a list of cryptocurrencies that you can enable/disable.

The cryptocurrencies that are enabled will be displayed on your wallet.

On the other hand, the cryptocurrencies that are disabled will not be displayed on your wallet.

On the search bar, paste HODL’s contract address.

You should have copied HODL’s contract address in the fifth step.

Lastly, tap on the switch icon to add HODL to your wallet on Trust Wallet.

By doing this, you’ll be able to see your HODL balance if you buy it.

7. Enable the DApp browser on Trust Wallet

If this is your first time using Trust Wallet, you need to enable the DApp browser.

Otherwise, you won’t be able to use decentralized exchanges on the app (like PancakeSwap).

Firstly, open a browser like Safari or Chrome.

Then, paste this on the URL field on the browser, “trust://browser_enable” (without quotation marks).

Next, search for it and open the page on Trust Wallet.

After you’ve opened the page on Trust Wallet, the DApp browser will be enabled.

8. Swap BNB for HODL on PancakeSwap

Now that you’ve enabled the DApp browser on Trust Wallet, you’ll see a “Browser” icon on the bottom navigation bar of the app.

Tap on the “Browser” icon to browse decentralized applications.

Then, scroll down until you reach the “Popular” header.

Under the “Popular” header, you’ll see “PancakeSwap”.

Tap on “PancakeSwap” to open PancakeSwap.

If you’re on PancakeSwap for the first time, you need to connect it to Trust Wallet.

Otherwise, you won’t be able to swap BNB for HODL.

Firstly, tap on the “Connect” button on the top navigation bar.

After you’ve tapped on the “Connect” button, the “Connect to a wallet” pop-up will open.

On the pop-up, you’ll see several wallets that you can connect to.

These wallets include “Metamask”, “TrustWallet”, “MathWallet”, and more.

Tap on “TrustWallet” to connect Trust Wallet to PancakeSwap.

How to buy HODL

After you’ve connected Trust Wallet to PancakeSwap, you’ll be able to swap tokens with BNB.

To begin with, make sure that you’re on the Binance Chain.

Secondly, set the “From” field to “BNB”.

This is because you need to swap BNB for HODL.

Next, on the “To” field, tap on “Select a currency”.

Then, paste HODL’s contract address on the  “Search name or paste address” field and tap on “Add”.

This will import HODL to PancakeSwap.

Thirdly, specify the amount of BNB that you want to swap for HODL.

Before you make the swap, make sure to increase your slippage tolerance to prevent the transaction from failing.

Lastly, tap on “Swap” to swap BNB for HODL!
