How to Capture Natives in Mad Island
Here’s how to capture, tame, and befriend natives in Mad Island:
- To tame a “native”, you need to knock it out and place it in a cage with food.
- You can see a native’s preferred food by hovering over them while they are on your inventory (higher number = faster “taming).
- After you’ve placed a native in a cage with food, it will take a while to “tame” them (you can do something else in the meantime).
- They will slowly eat the food and gain affinity (affinity will be shown via the icon on the cage’s inventory, starting from 0 and ending at max).
- If a native is dropping to the floor when you place it, it’s because they are not “tamed” yet.
- Once you tamed a native and its icon has “Max” on it, right-click them in your inventory like placing a building to spawn them as a friendly NPC.
- Now that the native is “tamed”, you can talk to it and put it to work (hover over the work options in its status menu to show the jobs needed for facilities).
- To increase a native’s relationship (to romance them), you need them to follow you or dance near your villagers (press Q to access the dance menu).
- A love potion will give them 50 relationship if you make a native drink it (the recipe shows up after you’ve opened the chest behind Takumi’s luxury bed and you can make it using the cooking table).
