How to Disable Experimental QUIC Protocol (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Opera)

Disable QUIC Protocol on Chrome

  1. Type “chrome://flags/” (without quotation marks) on the Chrome address bar and press Enter.
  2. Search for “Experimental QUIC protocol”.
  3. Change the option to “Disabled”.
  4. Select “Relaunch” to apply the changes.

Disable QUIC Protocol on Edge

  1. Type “edge://flags” (without quotation marks) on the Edge address bar and press Enter.
  2. Search for “Experimental QUIC protocol”.
  3. Change the option to “Disabled”.
  4. Select “Restart” to apply the changes.

Disable QUIC Protocol on Firefox

  1. Type “about:config” (without quotation marks) on the Firefox address bar and press Enter.
  2. Select “Accept the Risk and Continue”.
  3. Search for “network.http.http3.enabled”.
  4. Double-click the “network.http.http3.enabled” preference to set its value to False.
  5. Restart the Firefox browser to apply the changes.

Disable QUIC Protocol on Opera

  1. Type “opera://flags” (without quotation marks) on the Opera address bar and press Enter.
  2. Search for “Experimental QUIC protocol”.
  3. Change the option to “Disabled”.
  4. Restart the Opera browser to apply the changes.
