Epic Games error II-E1003 occurs when the Epic Games Launcher fails to download the game files for installation.

It can also happen if the game fails to launch because you’re not signed in.

To do so, you need to enable the Debug Logging box in your Epic Games Launcher settings.

How to Fix Epic Games Error II-E1003

To fix Epic Games Error II-E1003, you can try clearing Epic Games’ cache.

You can also try uninstalling and reinstalling Epic Games or verifying the game files.

Fix 1: Clear Epic Games’ cache

  1. Search for “Run” using the Windows Search Bar and press “Enter”.
  2. Search for “%localappdata%” and select “OK”.
  3. Delete the “EpicGamesLauncher” folder.
  4. Delete the “Epic Games” folder.
  5. Restart your computer and try installing or launching the game again.

Fix 2: Uninstall and reinstall Epic Games

  1. Open the Start menu and select “Settings”.
  2. Apps > Apps & Features > Epic Games Launcher.
  3. Three dots > Uninstall > Follow the on-screen instructions.
  4. Reinstall the Epic Games Launcher.
  5. Open the Epic Games Launcher and try installing or launching the game again.

Fix 3: Verify the game files

  1. Open the Epic Games Launcher and log in.
  2. Select “Library” and find the game that failed to launch.
  3. Click on the three dots on the game.
  4. Select “Manage” followed by “Verify”.
  5. Try launching the game again.
