Fix 1: Update your graphics card

• For Nvidia: Visit nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/download/ > Download Now > open the app > sign up or log in > Drivers > Download.
• For AMD: Visit amd.com/en/support > Download > open the app > follow the on-screen instructions to update your graphics card.

Fix 2: Clear DX cache

1. Search for “%localappdata%” using Windows Search and press Enter.
2. Select “AppData” on the URL field.
3. Open the “LocalLow” folder and open “AMD/NVIDIA”.
4. Open the “DXCache” folder.
5. Press CTRL + A, right-click, and select “Delete”.
6. Launch GTA V Enhanced.

Fix 3: Replace the GTA V settings file

1. Go to https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/gta-v-balanced-settings-xml-mid-end-settings, download the settings file, and copy it.
2. Navigate to the GTA V settings file (e.g. Documents > Rockstar Games > GTA V > Settings).
3. Delete the current settings file and paste the new settings file you’ve just downloaded.
4. Right-click the settings file and open it with Notepad.
5. Scroll down and replace the middle of <VideoCardDescription>HERE</VideoCardDescription> with the name of your graphics card.
6. Save the Notepad and launch GTA V Enhanced.

Tip: You can find the name of your graphics card by going to Device Manager > Display adaptors.

Fix 4: Change the performance of the game

1. Search for “Settings” in Windows Search and open it.
2. Navigate to System > Display > Graphics.
3. Select/add the PlayGTAV.exe application.
4. Select “Options” and select “High performance”.
5. Launch GTA V Enhanced.
