Fix 1: Update your graphics card

Fix 2: Run on a dedicated graphics card

  1. Search for “Graphics settings” in Windows Search and press Enter.
  2. Select “Add desktop app” or “Browse” to add a desktop app.
  3. Go to “C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Great Circle” (or wherever you’ve installed the game).
  4. Select the “TheGreatCircle” application and add it.
  5. Scroll down and expand “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle”.
  6. Select “High Performance”.

Fix 3: Add the game to Nvidia GeForce experience

  1. Download Nvidia GeForce experience: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/download/.
  2. Open Nvidia GeForce experience and log in to your account.
  3. Select “Graphics”, click on the three dots, and select “Add a program”.
  4. Find and add Indiana Jones and the Great Circle application (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\TheGreatCircle).

Fix 4: Downgrade your Nvidia graphics card

  1. Search for “Device manager” using Windows Search, press Enter, and expand “Display adapters” to find out what graphics card you have.
  2. Go to https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/drivers/ and search for your graphics card model.
  3. Download and install the GeForce Game Ready Driver – WHQL released on November 12.

Fix 5: Delete the “TheGreatCircleConfig.local” file

  1. Open the File Explorer > This PC > Windows (C:).
  2. Users > Your Username > Saved Games.
  3. MachineGames > TheGreatCircle > base.
  4. Delete the “TheGreatCircleConfig.local” file.

Fix 5: Delete the “RUNE” folder

  1. Open the File Explorer > This PC > Windows (C:).
  2. Users > Public > Public Documents > Steam.
  3. Delete the “RUNE” folder.
