Friggin Packet Yo Meme Explained

You might remember the video of a teenager lecturing his teacher about her teaching methods.

The meme, “Friggin Packet Yo”, is also known as “Freaking Packet” or “Freakin’ Packet”.

In 2013, Jeff Bliss, a high school student from Duncanville confronted his teacher about her unprofessionalism.

A student recorded the video and posted it on social media, gaining millions of views.

In 2025, the video resurfaced on TikTok and became an exploitable meme.

In this article, you’ll learn what the Freaking / Friggin Packet Yo meme is, the original video, the script, and where is Jeff Bliss now.

Friggin Packet Yo meme explained

Jeff Bliss was a sophomore at Duncanville High School in 2013 who expressed his concerns with his teacher.

During his speech, he mentioned the use of “packets”, which are pre-printed worksheets or assignments.

Jeff argued that the use of worksheets were not effective because they were not interactive.

He proposed his teacher to “get up and teach” instead of handing them worksheets.

Following the incident, Jeff made an appearance on a local TV station, WFAA and got over 7 million views.

He also appeared on SAY CHEESE! and his most recent appearance is on Tosh.0 (in 2020).

Currently, Jeff posts on his TikTok (@thejeffbliss) and Instagram (@thejeffbliss) once in a while.

In 2025, the meme resurfaced and went viral on TikTok along with an assortment of other memes.

This includes memes from Luke Belmar (e.g., Johnnie Walker, Connect), Jaden Smith (Bro), and Senator, I’m Singaporean.

TikTok users made parodies and “mashups” of these memes by combining the scripts together.

Friggin Packet Yo script

Bliss: “If you would just get up and teach them instead of handing them a freaking packet, yo. There’s kids in here that don’t learn like that. They need to learn face to face. You’re just getting mad because I’m pointing out the obvious.”

Teacher: “No, ’cause you’re wasting my time.”

Bliss: “No, I’m not wasting your time. I’m telling you what you need to do. You want kids to come into your class, you want them to get excited for this? You gotta come in here and you gotta make them excited. You want a kid to change and start doing better? You gotta touch his freaking heart. You can’t expect a kid to change if all you do is just tell them.”

Teacher: “Bye.”

Bliss: “You gotta take this job serious. This is the future of this nation. And when you come in here like you did last time and make a statement about, ‘Oh, this is my paycheck,’ indeed it is, but this is my country’s future and my education.”

Teacher: “I respect that. Can you go outside, please? I’ve got things to do.”

Bliss: “But there’s a limit. When I’m not b*tching but simply making an observation.”

Teacher: “Okay, okay.”

Bliss: “And now I will leave. You’re welcome.”

Teacher: “Goodbye.”

Bliss: “And if you would like, I’ll teach you a little more so you can actually learn how to teach a freaking class. Because since I got here, I’ve done nothing but read packets. So don’t try and take credibility for teaching me jack.”

Teacher: “Go.”

Bliss: “Just go.”

Teacher: “Goodbye.”

Bliss: “Close the door.”
