How to Get Front Flash on TikTok

To get a front flash on TikTok, you need to turn on “Classic Invert”.

After you’ve turned on “Classic Invert”, record a video of yourself on TikTok using your front camera.

The “Classic Invert” feature reverses the colors of the display.

It also acts as a front flash on TikTok because anything in front of your camera will be lit up.

Once you’re done recording, you need to turn off “Classic Invert”.

This will allow you to see what the video looks like.

As long as you have “Classic Invert” turned on, you can record using your front camera in any dark place.

Here’s how to get a front flash on TikTok (for iPhone or Android).

1. Go to your settings

This guide only works for iPhone/iOS users, so if you’re using an Android device, this guide isn’t for you.

Firstly, you need to go to your settings.

This is because you need to enable the “Classic Invert” feature in your settings later on.

Navigate to the “Settings” app and tap on it to open it.

2. Tap on “Accessibility”

iPhone Accessibility

Once you’re in your settings, you’ll see multiple options.

This includes “Airplane Mode”, “Wi-Fi”, “Bluetooth”, and more.

Scroll down until you see the “Accessibility” option.

Tap on “Accessibility” to go to your accessibility settings.

3. Tap on “Display & Text Size”

After you’ve tapped on “Accessibility”, you’ll see 4 sections.

This includes “Vision”, “Physical and Motor”, “Hearing” and “General”.

Under “Vision”, you’ll see a “Display & Text Size” option.

Tap on “Display & Text Size” to open your “Display & Text Size” settings.

4. Turn on “Classic Invert”

After you’ve tapped on “Display & Text Size”, you’ll land on your “Display & Text Size” settings.

Now, you’ll be able to change your text size, reduce transparency, increase contrast, and more.

You’ll also see a “Classic Invert” option.

Tap on the “Classic Invert” option to enable it.

The “Classic Invert” option will reverse the colors of the display.

By reversing the colors of the display, it will act as a front flash.

5. Increase your brightness and record the video

After you’ve turned on “Classic Invert”, open TikTok and tap on the “+” icon to start recording a video.

But before you start recording, you need to turn your brightness to the highest level.

Now, switch to the front camera by tapping on “Flip” and record yourself.

With “Classic Invert” turned on, it’ll act as a front flash.

6. Turn off “Classic Invert” after you’ve finished recording

Classic Invert

After you’ve finished recording the video, you need to turn off “Classic Invert”.

By turning off “Classic Invert”, you’ll see how the video turns out.

Otherwise, you won’t be able to see its result because the colors will be still reversed.

Go back to your settings and tap on “Display & Text Size”.

Tap on the “Classic Invert” option again to disable it.

7. Post the video on TikTok

After you’ve disabled the “Classic Invert” option, go back to TikTok.

Now, preview the video that you’ve just recorded.

You should be able to see anything that is in front of the camera even if you’re in a dark place.

This is because objects or people near your camera will be clearly visible if you have “Classic Invert” enabled.

In other words, “Classic Invert” acts as a front flash on TikTok.

If you’re satisfied with the video, you can post it on TikTok!

Otherwise, you can retake the video with “Classic Invert” turned on again.

Conclusion

Unfortunately, the iPhone does not have a front flash.

Hence, you cannot record yourself in a dark place using the front camera.

That said, the “Classic Invert” option is like a front flash.

If you want to record yourself in a dark place, you can turn on “Classic Invert” to see yourself.

Objects in front of your camera will also be clearly visible.

I’ve tested this out myself and it works perfectly.

Make sure to turn off “Classic Invert” after you’ve finished recording to see the end result.

Alternatively, you can record yourself in a well-lit room if you want to spare yourself the trouble of enabling and disabling it.
