How to Hide Your Snapchat Score in 3 Steps

Are you looking to hide your Snapchat score on Snapchat?

Maybe you want to hide your snap score from a specific user.

Or maybe you want to hide your snap score from multiple users.

Either way, there is a simple way you can do so on Snapchat.

If you want to avoid someone from stalking you, hiding your snap score is one way to do so.

At the end of the day, hiding your snap score from someone will prevent them from knowing your snap activity.

In other words, it’ll prevent someone from knowing how many snaps you send every day.

In this article, you’ll learn whether others can see your Snapchat score, how to hide it, and more.

Can others see your Snapchat score?

Can others see your Snapchat score?

In order to see someone’s snap score, both parties need to add each other as friends on Snapchat.

As long as one person didn’t add the other as a friend, both parties won’t be able to see each other’s snap score.

Only users that you’ve added as a friend and they have added you as a friend can see your Snapchat score.

If you added someone as a friend and they didn’t add you back, they cannot see your Snapchat score.

Similarly, if someone adds you as a friend but you didn’t add them back, you cannot see their Snapchat score.

In order to see someone’s snap score, both parties need to add each other as friends on Snapchat.

Otherwise, both parties won’t be able to see each other’s scores.

If someone were to search for you on Snapchat (who you’re not friends with) and visits your profile, the section under your username will be blank.

So you don’t have to worry about a stranger knowing your snap score.

How to Hide Your Snapchat Score

To hide your Snapchat score, you need to either remove the person as a friend or block them on Snapchat.

This is because a user can only see someone’s snap score if both parties added each other as a friend.

Unfortunately, there isn’t a privacy setting on Snapchat that allows you to hide your snap score from others.

However, you can change the privacy settings for who can contact you, view your story, see your location, and see you in Quick Add.

“Contact Me” allows you to change the settings for who can send a snap, chat, or call you on Snapchat.

You can choose who can view your story (Everyone, My Friends, Custom) from the setting, “View My Story”.

You can also change who can see your location and enable/disable people from seeing you in Quick Add.

A user can only see your Snapchat score if they added you as a friend and you added them as a friend on Snapchat.

So, in order to hide your Snapchat score from a specific person, you need to remove them as a friend.

If you want to close them off completely, you can block them instead.

Here is a step-by-step guide on how you can hide your Snapchat score.

1. Open Snapchat

Firstly, open the Snapchat score and navigate to your chat list.

Your chat list is located in the second icon from the left on the bottom navigation bar.

Open Snapchat and tap on the second icon from the left on the bottom navigation bar to see your chat list.

Do note that this method requires you to remove or block the person on Snapchat.

So, if you still want to remain friends with the person, there is no way you can hide your snap score from them unless the person blocked or removed you.

Speaking of which, if someone happened to remove you as a friend, they can no longer see your snap score.

If someone removed you as a friend, the status under their name will be “Pending”.

That being said, before you proceed with the next step, be sure to check whether the person is friends with you on Snapchat or not.

This is because if they aren’t friends with you, they won’t be able to see your snap score in the first place.

If that’s the case, proceeding with the next steps is redundant.

2. Find the user that you want to hide your Snapchat score from

Snapchat profile

Once you’re on your chat list, find the user that you want to hide your Snapchat score from.

Find the user that you want to hide your Snapchat score from and visit their profile.

You can do so by searching for their username on Snapchat > chat > Bitmoji > triple-dots icon.

You can use the search function at the top-left corner of your screen and search for the username of the person.

Alternatively, you can scroll down to find the specific person.

After you found the person, tap on them to access the chat.

Then tap on their Bitmoji at the top-left corner of your screen to visit their profile.

There are multiple options on their profile—the triple-dots icon, request location, send my location, etc.

The option that you want to be tapping on is the triple-dots icon.

Tap on the triple-dots-icon on the top-right corner of your screen.

3. Remove them as a friend

Remove friend on Snapchat

Once you tapped on the triple-dots icon on the person’s profile, a navigation drawer will open.

Removing someone as a friend will hide your Snapchat score from them.

On the other hand, blocking someone on Snapchat will not only hide your Snapchat score, but it’ll hide your entire profile from them.

There are 13 different options on the navigation drawer.

However, you’re only going to need to focus on a couple of options—Block or Remove Friend.

In order to hide your Snapchat score from someone, you need to either remove them as a friend or block them.

Tap on “Remove Friend” to remove the person as a friend on Snapchat.

Once you removed the person as a friend, they can no longer see your Snapchat score even if they’ve added you as a friend.

When you block someone on Snapchat, it’ll not only hide your Snapchat score, but it’ll hide your entire profile from them.

This means that they cannot find you on Snapchat anymore unless they’re using a different account.

If you want to hide your snap score from multiple users, you’ll have to individually remove them as a friend by repeating steps 1 to 3.

Can you no longer see someones Snapchat score?

Can't see Snapchat score

If you can no longer see someone’s Snapchat score, it means that the person has removed you as a friend.

You can no longer see someone’s snap score if the person removed you as a friend or if you removed them as a friend.

Otherwise, it’s because you’ve removed them as a friend.

You can only see someone’s Snapchat score if both parties added each other on Snapchat.

If one person didn’t add the other as a friend on Snapchat, both parties cannot see each other’s snap score.

To know if someone removed you as a friend on Snapchat, you can check the status under their username in your chat list.

If the status is “Pending”, that means that the person has removed you as a friend.

In addition, you won’t be able to see their Snapchat score when you visit their profile.

Instead, the section under their username will be blank.

Can you fake your snap score?

Can you fake your snap score?

If you want to fake your Snapchat score, you can add random celebrities on Snapchat and send them multiple snaps.

To fake your Snapchat score and make it higher that it is, you can add random celebrities and send them multiple snaps.

This method allows you to increase your Snapchat score fast without having to send snaps to your friends.

When you snap celebrities, your snap score will go up really quickly.

You can use the “Last Snap” feature to repeatedly send snaps to a similar list of people that you’ve previously sent a snap to.

This is a great way to pretend that you’ve snapped a ton of people on Snapchat.

Alternatively, you can add yourself on Snapchat and send multiple snaps to yourself.

Sending snaps to yourself will also increase your snap score.

Why is someone’s snap score not going up?

Snap score not going up

Did you recently visit someone’s profile and noticed that their snap score is not going up?

If someone haven’t sent snaps to anyone recently, their snap score won’t go up.

If someone’s snap score is not going up, it means that they haven’t sent snaps to anyone recently.

Your snap score can only increase by sending snaps to people.

So, if someone’s snap score is stagnant, they are not sending any snaps.

The first reason for that is because they might be only chatting with people and not sending them snaps.

Some Snapchatters prefer chatting over messages to sending snaps—which explains why their snap score is not going up.

Secondly, the person might be inactive or is no longer using Snapchat.

When someone is inactive on Snapchat or they don’t use it anymore, their snap score will not go up because they’re not sending snaps to people.

Conclusion

Hiding your Snapchat score is a must if you want to prevent someone from knowing your activity on Snapchat.

Unfortunately, there isn’t a way where you can hide your snap score without removing or blocking the person.

However, if you want to change other privacy settings, you can do so from the “who can…” section under your settings.

In that section, you can control who can contact you, view your story, see your location, and see you in quick add.
