How to Contact Instagram Support

Are you looking to contact Instagram about an issue you’re facing in the app?

If you ever tried contacting Instagram, you’ll know that it’s a pain trying to reach out to them.

Let’s face it — Instagram support is almost non-existent.

You can try sending them an email or giving them a call, but you won’t get a response.

This is unsurprising because Instagram has over a billion monthly active users.

Instagram does not have enough man-power to handle the massive amount of requests per day.

If you have an issue, you’re better off trying to solve it on your own or try other means of contacting Instagram which will be mentioned in this article.

By the end of the article, you should be able to know the various ways of contacting Instagram if you have an issue on the app.

Let’s get right into it.

How to contact Instagram using Twitter

Another way you can try contacting Instagram is through Twitter.

Usually, you’d only want to send a tweet to Instagram if the app is down to grab their attention/prompt them to fix it.

Other than that, they won’t take note or respond to any tweets.

Here’s how you can do it.

Go on to Instagram’s Twitter profile, and click on ‘Tweet’.

Instagram Twitter

After you clicked on ‘Tweet’, a pop-up modal will appear and it’ll automatically tag Instagram.

Then, go ahead and send a tweet to them.

One thing to note is that if your question is related to Instagram stickers (e.g. Why don’t I have the ‘x’ sticker?), they’ll most likely inform you that certain stickers are given out to various devices at different times.

Hence, it may take up to a couple of weeks for the sticker to arrive on android/iPhone.

How to contact Instagram if your account is disabled

If your Instagram account is disabled, you have most likely violated one or more of Instagram’s Community Guidelines or Terms of Use.

If you believe that your account was disabled by mistake, you can follow the on-screen instructions and appeal to get it re-enabled.

However, if your account was deleted (by you or someone else), you cannot restore it.

If that happens, your only option is to create a new account.

How to contact Instagram if you can’t log in to your Instagram account

If you can’t log in to your Instagram account, you should try troubleshooting it yourself instead of contacting Instagram support.

If you forgot your Instagram username, you can either find it from your friend’s following/followers list or you can ask your friend to find it for you.

In the event that you forgot your Instagram password on an android device, you can reset it by tapping ‘Get help signing in’ on the login screen, select username/email, send an SMS or Log In using Facebook.

If you’re using an iPhone, tap on Forgot Password above the login screen > username or phone > enter your email address, username, or phone number.
