Here are 3 steps to do this:

  1. Go to Aaru Village and talk to Bonifaz to start the “Golden Slumber” side quest.
  2. Follow the quest markers until you reach the hole.
  3. Unlock the “Red Desert Threshold” domain inside the hole.

You don’t need to activate any totems to unlock the domain.

You just need to talk to Bonifaz in Aaru Village and start the side quest to unlock it.

The markers in the side quest will lead you straight to the domain.
