How to Fix Skate Stuck on Loading Screen

Fix 1: Verify the integrity of game files

  1. Open Steam and go to your library.
  2. Right-click “Skate” and select “Properties…”.
  3. Select “Installed Files” and select “Verify integrity of game files”.
  4. Launch Skate to check if the loading screen is fixed.

Fix 2: Change Skate’s installation directory

  1. Open Steam and select “Steam” on the top left.
  2. Select “Settings” and select “Storage”.
  3. Select “Add Drive” and add another SSD/HDD (e.g. Local Drive (D:)).
  4. Select “Skate” in your current drive and select “Move”.
  5. Select the drive that you’ve just added (e.g. Local Drive (D:)) and select “Move”.
  6. Launch Skate to check if the loading screen is fixed.

Fix 3: Wait until the servers are back up

  • If Skate is stuck on the loading scren, the game might be under maintenance for an update or the servers are down.
  • If that’s the case, you must wait until the servers are back up.
  • According to the developers, “Some players have reported that waiting between 1 and 3 minutes in the loading screen solved the issue for them”.
