Are your YouTube Shorts comments not working, not showing up, or missing?
YouTube Shorts are short-form, vertical video content, similar to TikTok and Instagram Reels.
These bite-sized videos are designed for quick consumption and can be up to three minutes.
They are discoverable through the Shorts feed and are a tool for creators to gain visibility.
In this guide, you’ll learn how to fix YouTube Shorts comments not showing (including no like, dislike, and share icons).
Why does YouTube Shorts have no comments?
YouTube Shorts have no comments because either you or the creator chose to restrict comments on that Short.
If Shorts comments are not restricted, the issue may be caused by the latest YouTube update.
As of November 2025, many users reported that the comments, like, dislike, and share icons are missing from Shorts.
They managed to fix the issue by using the methods below.
