How to Fix Out of Video Memory Error in Marvel Rivals
Fix 1: Run Marvel Rivals in compatibility mode
- Open Steam and go to your library.
- Right-click “Marvel Rivals” and select “Properties”.
- Select “Installed Files” and select “Browse”.
- Scroll down, right-click “MarvelRivals_Launcher” and select “Properties”.
- Select the “Compatibility” tab.
- Tick “Run this program in compatibility mode for”.
- Tick “Run this program as an administrator”.
- Select “Apply” and select “OK”.
- Double-click “MarvelRivals_Launcher” to launch the game.
Fix 2: Update your graphics card
- If you have a Nvidia graphics card, visit nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/download/ > Download Now > open the app > sign up or log in > Drivers > Download.
- If you have an AMD graphics card, Visit amd.com/en/support > Download > open the app > follow the on-screen instructions to update your graphics card.
Fix 3: Close all other tabs and applications
- Close all of your existing tabs from all browsers (e.g. Chrome).
- Close all of your existing apps (e.g. Discord).
- Try launching Marvel Rivals again.
Fix 4: Install Intel XTU and lower the Performance Core Ratio
If you are using an Intel 13th and 14th Generation CPU:
- Install https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/17881/intel-extreme-tuning-utility-intel-xtu.html.
- Restart your PC and open the Intel Tuning Utility software.
- Lower the performance core ratio by 2 to 3 levels.
- For example, you can adjust the multiplier from 55x down to 53x.
- Apply the changes and try launching Marvel Rivals again.
