While the camera was panning towards him, the teenager with red hair, Gingy Logan, thought that Wilder was referring to him.

In the midst of it, Gingy said “I Was Sleepy” before the camera panned to the black teenager behind him.

Although the clip was posted in 2024, it went viral again in 2025 when TikTok users started making parodies of it.

User @xavierc.07 posted a parody of the video titled “I was sleepy 99.69% accuracy”.

It got over 7 million views and more than 1 million likes.

Gingy Logan (@gingylogann), the teenager who said “I Was Sleepy” posted an aftermath of the video where Cam Wilders gave him $100.
