Grow a Garden is a soothing garden simulator to plant seeds, tend to crops, and harvest profits.
The game features an offline growth system, letting plants grow even when you’re away.
It’s an easygoing tycoon perfect for all ages—equip seeds, click to plant, and watch them bloom.
Buy seeds from the shop when they restock, plant them, wait for them to grow, and earn profits.
This article contains 15 Grow a Garden tips and tricks for beginners and advanced players to grow your wealth in Roblox.
1. Expand your garden
Your top priority in Grow a Garden should be to expand your garden to its maximum size.
In the game, you can expand your garden up to 4 times—left, right, back, and back again.
They cost $250,000,000 (left), $250,000,000 (right), $500,000,000 (first back), $1,000,000,000 (second back).
You can expand your garden by interacting with the signs on the left, right, first back, and second back fences, respectively.
2. Destroy cheap plants
Don’t get emotionally attached to low-value crops that are taking up precious garden space.
Plants like carrots, strawberries, and blueberries should be removed to make room for more profitable options.
Only keep high-value plants like Sugar Apples, Ember Lillies, Sunflowers, Ember Lillies, and more.
You can destroy plants using the “Shovel” in your inventory (all players will automatically have it in their inventories).
3. Let your plants stack mutations
Never harvest your crops immediately after they grow, as they are worth a lot less without mutations.
Instead, let them sit and accumulate multiple mutations from different weather events over time.
A plant with multiple mutations (e.g., Frozen + Shocked + Windstruck) is worth more than a single-mutation crop.
The longer you wait and the more weather events that pass, the more valuable your plants become.
4. AFK is your friend (use an auto-clicker)
Staying AFK in the game (especially overnight) allows weather events to pass and apply mutations to your crops.
However, Grow a Garden will kick you out if you AFK for 20 minutes.
To prevent this, you can use an auto-clicker to click “Buy” from a gear or seed automatically.
Private servers are ideal for this strategy since your crops won’t get stolen while you’re away.
5. Use the Sprinkler “glitch” method
The sprinkler glitch makes your crops huge, which greatly increases their value.
To use the method, you must first harvest all of your crops or plant new seeds.
Next, place one of each sprinkler type (basic, advanced, godly, master) around them.
Lastly, leave the game and join back after 30 minutes for your crops to become fully grown.
6. Increase your pet slots
Increasing your pet slots allows you to place more pets in your garden, which will provide a lot of bonuses.
To increase your pet slots, you must talk to the Pet Eggs NPC (next to the gear shop) and select “Show me pet info”.
Next, select the orange pet icon to trade in pets for extra pet slots.
To unlock more slots, you must trade in an age 20, 30, 45, 60, and 75 pet, respectively, for a total of 5 additional slots (8 total).
7. Use a stock notifier
Discord stock notifiers are essential for serious players if you want to get the best seeds, eggs, and gear.
To use a stock notifier, join the Grow a Garden Discord Server, navigate to “Stock”, and join the newest Stock Watch server.
These bots alert you instantly when rare seeds, mythical eggs, or valuable gear appear in the shops.
Without notifications, you’d have to manually check shops every 5 minutes and would likely miss the best items.
8. Regularly participate in events
Limited-time events offer some of the most valuable rewards in the entire game, including exclusive seeds.
Events include Summer Harvest, Bee Swarm, Blood Moon, Lunar Glow, and others.
Event rewards frequently include rare pets, unique mutations, or special items that are extremely valuable.
Missing an event means missing out on items that may never be available again, putting you at a disadvantage.
9. Always be online during the update day
During update days, the owner of Grow a Garden, Jandel, along with other developers of the game, will be online.
Approximately one hour before the update, Jandel will spawn admin-only weather (known as Admin Abuse).
This includes Disco, Chocolate Rain, Space Travel, Alien Invasion, and many others.
Being online before the update allows your crops to obtain expensive mutations and gives you first access to new content.
10. Stock up on gear
Every 5 minutes, the gear shop will be refreshed with new stock.
Gear items like watering cans, trowels, sprinklers, and other tools are resources that you’ll always need.
When good gear appears, buy as much as you can afford and store it for later use.
Running out of sprinklers during a crucial period can cost you millions in potential profits.
11. Sell unused pets
If you have any unused pets, you can sell them for Sheckles.
To do so, talk to the Pet Eggs NPC next to the Gear Shop.
Next, equip the pet that you want to sell in your hand by selecting it from your inventory.
Lastly, select “I want to sell my pet” to sell it!
12. Group your crops together
Placing your crops together allows you to maximize the effectiveness of sprinklers and weather events.
By doing this, you can cover high-value crops with a single set of sprinklers, which improves efficiency.
This strategy also makes harvesting faster and helps you keep track of your most important plants.
Grouped plants are easier to protect and monitor for mutations.
13. Make use of the Friend Boost
In Grow a Garden, having friends increases the Sheckles that you earn from selling crops and pets.
For every friend in the same server that you have, you’ll get a +10% Sheckle boost.
This means that if you have 5 friends in one server, you’ll get a +50% Sheckle boost.
A tip is to add everyone as a friend who is in the same server as you to get the maximum bonus.
14. Create a private server
Grow a Garden has a feature where you can steal fruits from other players using Robux.
Having a private server prevents your fruits from being stolen by other players.
This is especially important if you have stacked mutations on an expensive crop (e.g., Candy Blossom).
To create a private server, go to the official Grow a Garden page, select “Servers”, and select “Create Private Server”.
15. Favorite plants
Make sure to favorite plants that you want to trade, gift, or don’t want to lose.
To favorite a plant, you must first navigate to it in your inventory.
After that, right-click the plant on PC or double-tap it on mobile.
This will prevent you from accidentally selling a plant when you select “I want to sell my inventory”.
