How to check IVs in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

To check IVs in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you need to complete the game once (beat all 8 gym leaders and the Elite Four).

After you’ve completed the game, go to any Pokemon Center and talk to the staff to unlock the Judge function.

Lastly, look at one of your Pokemon boxes, hover over a Pokemon, and press the “+” button twice to check their IV.

Here’s how to check IVs:

  1. Complete the game once (the end credits will roll).
  2. Go to any Pokemon Center and talk to the staff to unlock the Judge function.
  3. Go to one of your Pokemon boxes > hover over a Pokemon > and press “+” twice.

After you’ve pressed the “+” button twice, you’ll be able to see your Pokemon’s Individual Values on the right.

This includes individual and overall grades (IV stat ratings).

What are IVs in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?

IVs in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are short for Individual Values.

Individual Values are used to check if a Pokemon is stronger than another Pokemon of the same species.

The individual stat ratings are Best (31), Fantastic (30), Very Good (26 to 29), Pretty Good (16 to 25), Decent (1 to 15), and No Good (0).

The general stat ratings are Amazing (151 to 186), Great (121 to 150), Good (91 to 120), and OK (0 to 90).
