How to Do “Dreams Beneath the Searing Sand” in Genshin Impact

Genshin Impact released a 3.1 update called the “King Deshret and the Three Magi”.

You can gain Primogems as compensation rewards for the maintenance time.

The update includes new characters, domains, equipment, and more.

There are also new Archon and story quests that you can complete for rewards.

This includes new Archon Quest Chapter III acts and Cyno’s Story Quest.

A quest in the game is Dreams Beneath the Searing Sand.

You need to hit a certain requirement to unlock those quests.

For instance, you may need an adventure rank of 40 and above.

Some quests are difficult to complete because of certain objectives.

In this guide, you’ll learn how to do the “Dreams Beneath the Searing Sand” quest in Genshin Impact.

How to Do “Dreams Beneath the Searing Sand” in Genshin Impact

To do “Dreams Beneath the Searing Sand” in Genshin Impact, you need to follow the quest markers, pass the three trials, complete the puzzles in Khaj-Nisut, and escape it.

First part

1. Return to the oasis.
2. Talk to Jebrael.
3. Go to Khaj-Nisut.
4. Search for Khaj-Nisut.
5. Search for clues in the Eremites camp (pick up the short letter in front of the right tent).
6. Report back to Jebrael on the discovered clues.

Second part: Pass the three trials

Trial 1

1. Go south to the first trial and operate the mechanism to start it.
2. Drop down the hole and find your way out of the maze—the goal is to get to the bottom of the maze.
3. Operate the mechanism at the bottom of the maze to complete the first trial.

Trial 2

1. Go west to the second trial and operate the mechanism to start it.
2. Drop down the hole > open the first door > pick up the Forged Primal Light > stand on top of the replicator keystone.
3. Pick up another Forged Primal Light > stand on top of the second replicator keystone.
4. Rotate the cell until its activated and touch the obscuring cell.
5. Go in the next area > pick up 2 Forged Primal Lights (one at a time) > stand on top of the 2 replicator keystones.
6. Touch the cell > walk towards the door to open it > go inside the next area > open the door > go inside the next area > jump down the hole.
7. Defeat the enemies > open the door > go inside the next area > loot the common chest to get a keystone (I).
8. Go south > unlock the door with the keystone (I) > pick up the Forged Primal Light > stand on top of the replicator keystone.
9. Loot the common chest to get a keystone (II) > pick up another Forged Primal Light > stand on top of the second replicator keystone > touch the obscuring cell.
10. Go east > unlock the door with the keystone (II) > pick up the Forged Primal Light > stand on top of the replicator keystone > touch the obscuring cell.
11. Two doors will be opened > go to the first opened door > pick up the Forged Primal Light > operate the mechanism to complete the second trial.

Trial 3

1. Go to the north to the third trial and operate the mechanism to start it.
2. Drop down the first hole > defeat the enemies > operate the mechanism.
3. Drop down the second hole > defeat the enemies > operate the mechanism to complete the third trial.

Third part

1. Enter Khaj-Nisut.
2. Explore Khaj-Nisut’s lower floor.

Forth part: Activate the mechanism in the center of the hall

First Primal Ember

1. Release the west Primal Ember.
2. Activate the elevator to go down.
3. Make your way around the force field and guide the Primal Ember into the structure.
4. Activate the elevator to go back up.
5. Operate the first mechanism nearby to activate it.

Second Primal Ember

1. Release the middle Primal Ember.
2. Follow it down a hole.
3. Defeat the enemy.
4. Release the Primal Ember again.
5. Wait for the first fan to stop and walk by it.
6. Wait for the second fan to stop and walk by it.
7. Use the four-leaf sigil on top to go up.
8. Guide the Primal Ember into the structure.
9. Operate the second mechanism nearby to activate it.

Third Primal Ember

1. Release the east Primal Ember.
2. Follow the Primal Ember and release it again.
3. Guide it into the structure.
4. Go back and operate the third mechanism nearby to activate it.
5. Follow the quest marker and touch the mechanism in the center of the hall to complete the objective.

Fifth part: Operate Prism of Khaj-Nisut

1. Go to Khaj-Nisut’s upper floor
2. Use the four-leaf sigil to go to the red prism of Khaj-Nisut (in the middle of the area).
3. Select Operate > Switch > Operate > Operate.
4. Use the four-leaf sigil to go to the red platform (on the west).
5. Select “Start Up”, stand on top of the red platform and select “Activate”.

Final part: Escape from Khaj-Nisut

1. Defeat Samail’s subordinates.
2. Walk forward and drop down the first hole.
3. Walk forward, turn right, go straight, and drop down the second hole.
4. Continue straight and drop down the force field.
5. Go right and drop down the force field.
6. Continue straight and drop down the force field to the ground.
7. Exit Khaj-Nisut from the entrance.
