Fix 1: Disable “Run as an administrator”

  1. Search for “Rockstar Games Launcher” using Windows Search and select “Open file location”.
  2. Right-click “Rockstar Games Launcher” and select “Open file location” again.
  3. Right-click “LauncherPatcher”, select “Compatibility” and uncheck “Run this program as an administrator”.
  4. Right-click “Launcher”, select “Compatibility” and uncheck “Run this program as an administrator”.
  5. Launch GTA V.

Note: If “Run this program as an administrator” is already unchecked, try checking it.

Fix 2: Reinstall BattlEye

  1. Open the Rockstar Games Launcher and select “Settings”.
  2. Uncheck “BattleEye” and close the launcher.
  3. Type “cmd” using Windows Search and select “Run as administrator”.
  4. Type “sc delete beservice” (without quotation marks) and press Enter.
  5. Restart your PC and navigate to the GTA V directory (e.g. (e.g. This PC > Windows (C:) > Rockstar Games > Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced > BattlEye).
  6. Double-click BEService_x64 to reinstall BattlEye and launch GTA V.
