You can also try spam clicking the game mode to join it and select “Back” each time you get the error until a match is found.

Fix 1: Change your region

  1. Launch The Finals and press the “Esc” button.
  2. Select “Settings” to go to your settings.
  3. Change your matchmaking region to where you’re closest to (e.g. Asia).
  4. Try joining a match again.

  1. Launch The Finals and press the “Esc” button.
  2. Select “Settings” to go to your settings.
  3. Enable “Crossplay” if it’s disabled or disable “Crossplay” if it’s enabled.
  4. Try joining a match again.

Fix 3: Keep spam clicking to join the match

  1. Launch The Finals and select “Play”.
  2. Navigate to a game mode that you want to play (e.g. Quick Play).
  3. Select a game mode that you want to play (e.g. Quick Cash).
  4. Keep spam clicking the game mode (e.g. Quick Cash) until a match is found/searching (if you’re on PC, keep pressing Spacebar on your keyboard).

Editor’s note: I kept spam clicking the “Quick Cash” game mode to join it and selected “Back” each time after I got the “Matchmaking Failed” error and a match was finally found.
