How to Fix Meta AI Not Showing on Instagram

Meta AI is not showing or working on Instagram because the feature is not rolled out to everyone yet.

Instagram is currently testing out the feature to a limited number of users.

If you don’t have access to it, you need to patiently wait until its rolled out to you.

However, if you have access to Meta AI in one account but not the other, there are a couple of methods that you can try to get it on both accounts.

How to Fix Meta AI Not Showing on Instagram

To fix Meta AI not showing on Instagram, you need to update the app to the latest version.

You can also try switching your account type, removing your second account from the Accounts Centre, linking your accounts together, or wait for Meta AI to roll out to you.

Fix 1: Update Instagram to the latest version

  1. Open the App Store or Google Play Store.
  2. Search for “Instagram” and select it,
  3. Tap on “Update” if there’s an update available.
  4. Open Instagram and check if Meta AI is available to you.

Fix 2: Switch your account type

  • Switch to a business account: Instagram profile > Edit profile > Switch to professional account > Follow the on-screen instructions > Wait for a few days and Meta AI should show up.
  • Switch to a personal account: Instagram profile > Menu > Business tools and controls > Switch account type > Switch to personal account > Follow the on-screen instructions > Wait for a few days and Meta AI should show up.

Fix 3: Remove your second account

  1. Open Instagram, tap on the menu icon, and go to your settings.
  2. Select “Accounts Centre”, scroll down, and select “Accounts”.
  3. Select your second account and remove it from the centre.
  4. Wait for a few days and Meta AI should show up in your main account.

Important: Only try this method if your alternate account has Meta AI but your main account does not and both your accounts are linked in the Meta Accounts Centre.

  1. Open Instagram, tap on the menu icon, and go to your settings.
  2. Select “Accounts Centre”, scroll down, and select “Accounts”.
  3. Select “Add accounts” and link your other Instagram account(s).
  4. Wait for a few days and Meta AI should show up in your main account.

Important: Only try this method if your alternate account has Meta AI but your main account does not and both your accounts are NOT linked in the Meta Accounts Centre.

Fix 5: Wait for Meta AI to roll out to you
