How to Fix Outpost Disappeared in Starfield

Here is a list of known fixes from the Starfield community:

  • Fix 1: When you place the outpost beacon down, exit build mode, interact with it, and rename it from “Landing Area” to whatever you want. You should be able to see it on the Starmap after that (source: invisibul on Reddit).
  • Fix 2: If you lose it in the future, go into the ship menu, and press c to assign your companion to a settlement or outpost, it will list your available outposts. *Provided if you have a crew station set up for your companions (source: PrideSubstantial5415 on Reddit).
  • Fix 3: I found mine by going back through my completed quest log and associated the quest location that I set my outpost next to (source: BirthdayNo8978 on Reddit).
  • Fix 4: Outposts have icons that look like little bunkers. The easiest thing to do is scan systems for these icons. It’s not great, but it worked for me (source: Alarmed-Associate617 on Reddit).
