After you’ve opted-in, you’ll receive an email if you’re accepted.
The second way is by watching Overwatch 2 streams on April 27th, 2022 from 10:00 am PT to 6:00 pm PT.
During that period, you’ll be eligible for Twitch drops.
If you’ve already claimed the Beta Access Pass on Twitch but the Overwatch 2 Beta option is still not showing up or not working, continue reading to learn how to fix it.
Why is my Overwatch 2 Beta not showing up?

Your Overwatch 2 Beta is not showing up either because you haven’t been invited for it or you don’t have a copy of Overwatch 1.
You can either get invited to the beta access by opting in for it or claiming the “OW2 PVP Beta Access” loot drop from Twitch.
According to Overwatch’s official website, you need a copy of Overwatch 1 to play in the 1st Closed Beta.
If you’re invited to the beta access by email, you need to claim it before you can have the “Overwatch 2 Tech Beta” option.
If you’re invited to the beta access from an “OW2 PVP Beta Access” loot drop, you need to claim it too.
You also need to connect your Twitch account to your Battle.net account.
In some cases, the beta option might not show up because of a bug/glitch.
How to fix Overwatch 2 Beta not showing up
To fix Overwatch 2 Beta not showing up, you first need to ensure that you have the Overwatch 2 Beta access.
If you have it, open the Battle.net settings, switch to Beta, and restart Battle.net.
After you’ve switched to Beta, you should be able to see the “Overwatch 2 Tech Beta” option.
Keep in mind that you need to have a copy of Overwatch 1 to play in the 1st Closed Beta.
If you don’t have a copy of Overwatch 1, you won’t have the option to play the Overwatch 2 Beta even if you were invited for it.
Here are 3 steps to fix the Overwatch 2 Beta not showing up:
1. Ensure that you have the Overwatch 2 Beta access
Firstly, you need to ensure that you have the Overwatch 2 Beta access.
Here are the requirements to get the Overwatch 2 Beta access:
- You’ve opted in for the Overwatch 2 Beta and received the invite email.
- You’ve claimed the “OW2 PVP Beta Access” loot drop from Twitch.
- You need to connect your Twitch account to your Battle.net account.
- You need to have a copy of Overwatch 1 to play in the 1st Closed Beta.

Once you’ve confirmed that you have access to the Overwatch 2 Beta, you need to open the Battle.net settings.
Firstly, open Battle.net and log in to your account.
Secondly, click on the Battle.net logo to open the menu.
On the menu, click on “Settings” to open the Battle.net settings.
3. Switch to Beta

After you’ve clicked on “Settings”, the Battle.net settings will open.
Now, you’ll see multiple settings on the left sidebar.
This includes “App”, “Downloads”, “Game Settings”, and more.
Click on “Beta” to open the Beta settings.

In the Beta settings, click on “Switch to Beta” to switch to the Beta version of Battle.net.
Battle.net will then be automatically restarted and the “Overwatch 2 Tech Beta” option should show up when you click on the “Game Version” dropdown box!
