In this guide, you’ll learn how to restart Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (reset your progress) by deleting the saved files/data.

How to restart Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

To restart Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you need to delete your saved data in the Nintendo Switch System Settings.

After you’ve deleted your saved data, your progress will be reset and you get to choose your starter Pokemon again.

Here’s how to reset/restart the game:

  1. Press the “Home” button and close “Pokemon Scarlet/Violet”.
  2. Go to System Settings > Data Management > Delete Save Data.
  3. Select Pokemon Scarlet/Violet > Delete Save Data for X > Delete Save Data > OK.
  4. Press the “Home” button and launch Pokemon Scarlet/Violet.

After you’ve deleted the saved data, your progress will be reset and a new game will start.

You’ll be prompted to select your language and choose a look for yourself.

In addition, you’ll be able to choose your starter Pokemon again.
