Who is the Serbian Dancing Lady?

If you’ve been on TikTok recently, you might have seen a video of the Serbian Dancing Lady.

This creepy entity dances in the night and attacks people with a knife.

Many videos of her are posted on TikTok and she attacks when her dance is interrupted.

Entities like Slenderman, Pennywise, Krampus have been widely adapted it movies and TV shows.

However, not much is known about the Serbian Dancing Lady because she is a recent folklore.

In this article, you’ll learn who is the Serbian Dancing Lady, is she real, her real face, her story, and memes.

Who is the Serbian Dancing Lady?

The Serbian Dancing Lady is a mysterious woman who dances in the night and haunts the streets of Serbia.

When the apparition dances, she sways left and right while her arms are in a “T” shape.

When provoked or distracted, she will run towards the person and attack them with a knife.

There are a couple of folklores that explains her behaviour and pattern.

In the first lore, her dance hypnotised and lured someone to follow her.

It’s said that the person who followed her was never seen again.

The second lore suggests that the Serbian Dancing Lady will become aggressive when you interrupt her dance.

This includes making noise or standing very close to her.

If her dance is interrupted, she’ll look at the person, run towards them, and attack them with a knife until they die.

In that lore, her behaviour is similar to The Witch in the popular video game, Left 4 Dead.

It also resembles SCP-096 (The Shy Guy), in the SCP Foundation, a fictional organization with a myraid of entities.

If someone looks at its face, he will start getting agitated, run towards the person and start to maul them.

If you meet SCP-096, do not look at him and walk the opposite direction.

Similarly, you want to survive a Serbian Dancing Lady encounter, you need to look away from her and get out of the area as quickly as possible.

However, you need to stay quiet and not make any sudden movements or she’ll notice you.

The second she notices that you’re there, she will relentlessly charge at you and attack you with a knife.

Is the Serbian Dancing Lady real or fake?

The Serbian Dancing Lady is a modern folklore that some people claim to have encountered.

It’s said that the entity haunts the streets of Serbia, mainly in Sokobanja.

The original video of the figure was posted to TikTok in 2019.

In the video, a lady in black can be seen swaying left and right while in a T-pose.

At the end of the video, she looked back and ran towards the person who’s filming.

The video was reposted multiple times, and a repost by @seekingtheelightt_ got over 14 million views.

From a logical standpoint, the video is most likely fake/scripted as the lady in it is acting.

In other words, the video is just a scary hoax to get people’s attention.

Since, then many parody videos of the Serbian Dancing Lady was posted on TikTok.

A user, @nika.elez posted a parody video of the dance and got over 43 million views.

She later posted a second part of the video where the lady swings a weapon and charged at her.

The video got over 42 million views and more than 1.8 million likes.
