Are you getting a Valve Anti-Cheat warning/message when you try to play CS2 (Counter Strike 2)?
Here’s the error message, “Some of your game files have been detected to have no signatures or invalid signatures”.
Followed by, “You will not be allowed to join VAC secure servers”.
And, “Please verify your launch options, check correctness of your game installation, restart the game, and try again”.
In this guide, you’ll learn how to fix “Some of your game files have been detected to have no signatures or invalid signatures” in CS2
How to Fix “Some of your game files have been detected to have no signatures” in CS2

To fix “Some of your game files have been detected to have no signatures” in CS2, you need to verify the integrity of game files.
You can also try enabling/disabling administrator mode for CS2, disabling Nvidia Ansel, or launching the game directly from your Steam Library.
Here are 4 methods to fix this:
- Method 1 – Verify game files: Go to your Steam Library > right-click Counter-Strike > Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of game files.
- Method 2 – Tick/untick admin: Go to your Steam Library > right-click Counter-Strike > Properties > Installed Files > Browse > right-click the Counter-Strike app > Properties > Compatibility > Tick/Untick “Run this program as an administrator”.
- Method 3 – Disable Nvidia Ansel
- Search for “Windows Powershell” using Windows Search, right-click the program and select “Run as administrator”, and run these two commands:
- dir “$env:systemroot\system32\driverstore\filerepository\*NvCameraEnable.exe” -rec |% {& “$_” off}
- dir “$env:programfiles\nvidia corporation\*NvCameraEnable.exe” -rec |% {& “$_” off}
- Method 4 – Launch in Steam Library: Open Steam > go to your Steam Library > launch Counter-Strike from your Steam Library.
Do note that the VAC error can be a temporary error that’s caused by a recent update.
If so, you need to wait for a new CS2 update to address the issue.
