How to Fix WhatsApp Video Call Rotate Problem

WhatsApp has introduced video calling as the next step in its mission to connect people.

Video calling allows users to make video calls across Android, iPhone, and Windows Phone devices.

WhatsApp aims to make communication more personal by providing the ability to see your friends and family’s faces.

However, some users are experiencing difficulty in video calling because their screens will automatically rotate upside down.

In this guide, you’ll learn how to fix the WhatsApp video call auto-rotation or upside-down problem on iOS or Android.

Why is the video call automatically rotating on WhatsApp?

The video call is automatically rotating on WhatsApp because you’ve enabled screen rotation on your iOS or Android device.

On your iOS device, if the “Portrait Orientation Lock” feature is disabled, your screen will automatically rotate based on the position of your phone.

Similarly, on your Android device, if the “Auto-rotate” feature is enabled, your screen will automatically rotate based on the position of your phone.

In other cases, there might be a glitch on the WhatsApp app that can be resolved by restarting the app or your phone.
