How to fix “Your watch history is off” on YouTube

To fix “Your watch history is off” on YouTube, you need to turn your watch history on.

To do so, go to the homepage of YouTube where you’re getting the error > Update setting > Turn on > Refresh the homepage.

You can also control and review your watch history at your Google account.

Here’s how to turn on your watch history on YouTube:

  1. Open the YouTube app and tap on your profile picture.
  2. Tap on “Settings” and tap on “Manage all history”.
  3. Tap on “Saving your search history”.
  4. Enable “Include the YouTube videos that you watch”.
  5. Go back to the YouTube homepage and drag down to refresh it.

After you’ve enabled “Include the YouTube videos that you watch”, YouTube will remember the videos that you’ve watched.

This will allow YouTube to recommend videos on your homepage.
