How to Fix “This account is not allowed to use WhatsApp”

Are you getting a “This account is not allowed to use WhatsApp due to spam” error?

Here’s the second part of the error message, “Chats are still on this device”.

The error message means that you’re banned from using WhatsApp.

You can choose to request a review by tapping on “Request a review”.

However, that might not be sufficient enough for your WhatsApp account to be unbanned.

In this guide, you’ll learn why you’re banned from WhatsApp and how to fix “This account is not allowed to use WhatsApp“.

Why am I banned from WhatsApp?

WhatsApp account bans

You’re banned from WhatsApp because your activity violated their Terms of Service.

For example, if you spam or scam someone, you will be banned from using the app.

The Terms of Service also include anything that puts users’ safety at risk.

WhatsApp will also ban you if you send automated/bulk messages or harvest personal information.

The app uses both reports and machine learning technology to detect unwanted or automated messages.

If you’re banned, you’ll see this message, “This account is not allowed to use WhatsApp”.

If you think that your account was banned by mistake, you can contact WhatsApp.

To do so, tap on “Request a review” and enter the 6-digit registration code that is sent to you.

After you’ve entered it, add details to support your case and submit your request.

You need to wait for a few days for WhatsApp’s decision.

It’s highly recommended that you review the “Acceptable Use of Our Services” section in WhatsApp’s Terms of Service.

That way, you’ll be able to learn more about how to use the app appropriately and the activities that violate their Terms of Service.

  4. Select the device that you use WhatsApp on.
  5. Explain that you’ve been banned from WhatsApp by mistake.
  6. Submit the form.

After you’ve submitted the form, wait for a few days for WhatsApp’s decision.

They will contact you via the email address that you’ve provided.

Instead of contacting WhatsApp on their website, you can also request a review on the app.

To do so, tap on “Request a review” under the “This account is not allowed to use WhatsApp” error message.

Alternatively, you can request a review by navigating to Settings > Help > Contact Us.

WhatsApp will respond to you in a chat.

Do note that if your account is found to violate WhatsApp’s Terms of Service, it will not be unbanned.

To use WhatsApp responsibly, make sure to download the app from trusted sources.

Get permission from your contacts before you add them to a group and don’t send unsolicited promotional messages.

Lastly, follow WhatsApp’s Terms of Service to avoid getting banned.
