Are you getting a “Ask your parent for help” error in Fortnite?
Here’s the second part of the message, “Once your parent has given permission, you will be able to continue using this Epic Games account”.
If you don’t complete the process, your account will be deleted in 30 days.
The process requires your parent to confirm that they are an adult by paying $0.50 using a credit or debit card.
They can also provide their last 4 digits of SSN.
If you have a credit or a debit card, you can use yours instead.
In this guide, you’ll learn why Fornite says “Ask your parent for help” and how to fix it.
Why does Fornite say “Ask your parent for help”?

Fornite says “Ask your parent for help” because you’ve recently downloaded Fall Guys.
Fall Guys recently became free to play and they also collaborated with Epic Games.
You can do challenges in Fall Guys to get rewards and cosmetics in Fortnite.
However, you need to be at least 13 years old to play both games.
If you’re under 13 years old, you’ll need to ask your parent to give you their permission to play the game.
They can do this by proving that they are an adult by paying $0.50 or providing the last 4 digits of their SSN.
When you first download Fall Guys, you’re required to enter your date of birth.
If you said that you’re under 13 years old, you’ll get the “Ask your parent for help” error message.
This means that your Epic Games account is temporarily locked.
How to Fix “Ask your parent for help” in Fortnite

- Enter your parent or guardian’s email address.
- Ask your parent or guardian to check their email.
- They will receive an email with “Parental Permission for an Epic Games Account” as the subject line.
- Click on “Continue”.
- Click on “Continue” again.
- Select “Yes” to allow your child to use Sign In with Epic.
- Select either “Last 4 digits of SSN” or “Credit or Debit card” (recommended).
- If you’ve selected “Credit or Debit Card”, you need to enter your card information.
- Pay a small amount of money (e.g. $0.50).
The amount that you’ve paid will be refunded to you in 8 to 13 business days.
After you (the parent) have provided the last 4 digits of your SSN or paid a small amount of money, you will receive an email.
The email will say that you’ve successfully verified their identity.
You’ll also receive this confirmation message, “Your child’s Epic Games account has been restored. Your child can now log in”.
Now, when your child opens Fortnite, they will not get the “Ask your parent for help” error message anymore!
They will have access to all of their skins on Fortnite and games in their Epic Games account.
