Can you get the Slimline Pro optic in Modern Warfare 2?
As of early November, you cannot get the Slimline Pro optic in Modern Warfare 2.
This is because the weapon that’s supposed to be part of the unlocking process hasn’t been released yet.
If you select an optic like SZ Mini, it’ll show you the challenge required to unlock it.
To unlock the SZ Mini optic, you need to level up the Lachmann Sub to level 11.
However, if you select the Slimline Pro optic, it does not show a challenge.
Hence, there is no way to unlock the optic until a weapon challenge for it is released.
Apparently, MW2 didn’t speak about this, so many players are confused as to why they are unable to unlock certain optics.
A lot of players went to Twitter to complain about the locked optic.
“Does anyone know how to unlock Slimline Pro red dot because it’s not telling me how to unlock it?”.
“Anyone knows how to get the Slimline Pro sight for the M4 at all?”.
Infinity Ward is yet to provide an ETA on when the optic will be released, but it’ll probably be unlockable on November 16.
November 16 is when the first season launches together with the battle pass and two weapons.
Why is the Slimline Pro optic locked in MW2?
The Slimline Pro optic is locked in MW2 because the weapon needed to unlock it is not released yet.
Each optic has a challenge that you need to complete to unlock it.
For example, to unlock the SZ Mini optic, you need to level up the Lachmann Sub to level 11.
Unlocking the Slimline Pro optic is not possible because there is no weapon challenge for it yet.
The challenge will most likely be available on November 16 when season 1 starts.
