How to Change Your Email Address on Binance

Are you looking to change your email address on Binance?

On Binance, changing your email address can be complicated.

This is because the setting is hard to navigate to.

In addition, you can only change your Binance email address on the desktop version of the website.

If you’re using the Binance mobile app, you won’t be able to change your email.

This is because the Binance app does not currently support the changing of emails.

As a result, if you want to use your mobile device, you need to visit the Binance website instead of the app.

If you haven’t made a Binance account yet, get started here: https://www.binance.com/en/register?ref=73583477 or use “73583477” as the referral code.

In this guide, you’ll learn how to change your email address on the desktop version of Binance.

How to change your email address on Binance

To change your email address on Binance, you first need to log in to the Binance website and navigate to your security settings.

On the security settings page, you can change your email address by scrolling down to “E-mail Address” and clicking on “Change”.

Then, you need to follow the on-screen instructions to change your email.

However, you may be prompted to enable a Google or SMS authentication if you haven’t done so.

If you haven’t enabled a Google or SMS authentication, you won’t be able to carry on with changing your email.

If you’re not prompted to do so, it means that you’ve already enabled either of the authentication methods in the past.

Next, you’ll have to enter a 6 digit security code.

This will be sent either to your email or your phone number.

After you’ve entered the 6 digit code, you’ll be able to change your Binance email by entering a new email address.

Here’s how you can change your email address on Binance:

  1. Log in to Binance & click on the profile icon
  2. Click on “Security”
  3. Scroll down to “E-mail Address” & click on “Change”
  4. Click on “Next”

This is because the Binance app does not support the changing of your email address.

Hence, if you want to change your email address, you have to use the desktop version of Binance.

If you’re using a mobile device, you can use a browser like Safari or Google Chrome.

Once you’re on the Binance website, you need to log in to your account.

Log in to your account if you haven’t already.

Next, click on the profile icon on the top navigation bar.

The page contains information on how you can change your email.

The information says that you’re required to enable either Google or SMS Authentication (2FA) to change your email.

If you haven’t enabled one of the authentication methods, you need to do so.

It’s recommended that you enable SMS Authentication (2FA) instead of Google Authentication.

To do so, go back to your security settings and enable “SMS Authentication” under “2FA”.

The information also says that the system will decide whether to disable your withdrawals for48 hours after you’ve changed your email address.

This means that if you changed your email, you might not be able to make withdrawals from Binance for 48 hours.

The 48 hours ban is a form of security on Binance, so you cannot avoid it.

Click on “Next” to continue with the next step.

5. Enter the 6 digit code

After you’ve clicked on “Next”, you’ll land on the “Security verification” page.

For security purposes, you need to complete a security verification to proceed to the next step.

The verification is an “E-mail verification code” field where you have to enter a 6 digit code.

To receive the 6 digit code, click on “Send Code”.

Then, check your email for a 6 digit code from Binance and copy it.

If you can’t find the email, make sure to check your junk/spam mail as well.

This is because the email might have landed in there.

Once you’ve copied the code, go back to Binance and paste it on the “E-mail verification code” field.

Then, click on “Submit” to complete the verification.

Firstly, enter the new email address that you want to change to.

Make sure that you’re not entering your old email address as you’re not required to.

Next, enter the new email address again on the “Confirm new email” field.

The “Confirm new email” field needs to match the “New email” field.

Then, enter your new password on the “New Password” field.

You can click on the eye icon to reveal the password that you’ve entered.

Lastly, click on “Confirm” to change your email address on Binance.

Once you’ve changed your Binance email, you may be logged out of your account.

Now, you can log in to your Binance account using your new email.

Conclusion

At times, you may need to change your email address on a platform.

Having too many email addresses will make it hard for you to stay updated on your emails.

In addition, if you have an old email address that you no longer use, you might miss a lot of emails.

Hence, if your Binance account is using an old email address, make sure to change it.

This will allow Binance to send you notifications, security codes, and news to your new email address.
