Why can’t I switch Clash of Clans accounts?
You can’t switch Clash of Clans accounts because the default account for Clash of Clans is not set to “Ask each time”.
Apparently, the latest Clash of Clans update has removed the button for you to switch accounts.
This prevented users from switching from one account to another.
Fortunately, you can re-add it by following the steps below.
How to Fix Clash of Clans Account Switch Problem
To fix the Clash of Clans account switch problem, you need to change the default account for the CoC app.
To do so, you need to open the “Play Games” app, search for “Clash of Clans”, and open its settings.
After you’ve opened its settings, select “Change account for games”.
Lastly, select “Change” next to Clash of Clans and select “Ask each time”.
Here’s how to fix the account switching problem (expand the screenshots above):
- Open the “Play Games” app by Google.
- Search for “Clash of Clans” and select it.
- Tap on the three dots and select “Settings”.
- Wait for a few seconds, scroll down, and select “Change account for games”.
- Select “Change” next to Clash of Clans”.
- Select “Ask each time” to fix the issue!
Note: You need to select the “Play Games” app by Google and not the Google Play Store!
After you’ve selected “Ask each time”, you need to force exit/close Clash of Clans for the fix to work.
Lastly, reopen CoC and you’ll be able to switch accounts.
