How to Fix Discord Soundboard Not Showing Up on Server

Discord recently introduced a new Soundboard feature for servers.

It’s an experimental feature that’s available to a limited number of servers.

The feature allows you to play a short audio clip that can be heard by all participants in a voice channel.

You can use the feature by joining a voice channel, selecting the Soundboard icon, and selecting an audio clip.

However, many users reported that the feature is not showing up.

In this guide, you’ll learn how to fix the Discord Soundboard not showing up or not working on your server or community.

Why is the Discord Soundboard not showing?

Discord Soundboard not showing

The Discord Soundboard is not showing because the community feature is enabled on the server.

The feature will also not show up if the server has more than 50 people or if you’re using the Discord mobile app.

Discord Soundboard requirements:

  • The community feature needs to be disabled.
  • The server needs to have less than 50 people.
  • You need to use the desktop version of Discord.

Editor’s note: Discord did not explicitly state the requirements for the feature, so I had to figure it out myself.

Initially, I tried finding the Soundboard on my Discord server but it was not showing up.

After I disabled the community feature, the Soundboard appeared when I join a voice channel.

In addition, your server needs to have less than 50 people and the feature only works on the desktop version of Discord.

How to fix Discord Soundboard not showing up on server

To fix the Discord Soundboard not showing up on a server, you need to disable the community feature if it’s enabled.

If you have more than 50 people on your Discord server, you need to kick some of them out.

If you’re using the Discord mobile app, you need to use the desktop version of Discord instead.

Fix 1: Disable the community feature

  1. Navigate to your Discord server.
  2. Right-click the server’s name.
  3. Select “Server Settings”.
  4. Under “Community”, select “Overview”.
  5. Select “Disable Community”.

Fix 2: Kick out members until the server has less than 50 people

  1. Navigate to your Discord server.
  2. Right-click on an inactive user.
  3. Select “Kick” to kick the user.
  4. Keep kicking users until there are fewer than 50 members on your server.

Fix 3: Use the desktop version of Discord instead of mobile

  1. Use a personal computer or a laptop.
  2. Download Discord for Windows, Mac, or Linux.
  3. Open Discord on your desktop.
  4. Navigate to a server that has less than 50 members and disabled the community feature.
  5. Join a voice channel, select the Soundboard icon, and select an audio clip to play it!
