How to Fix “Marketplace Isn’t Available to You” on Facebook

Are you getting a “Marketplace Isn’t Available To You” error on Facebook?

Why is Facebook Marketplace not available to me?

Facebook Marketplace is not available to you because you didn’t meet the eligibility requirements.

To access Marketplace, you need to be an adult and live in a country where it’s available.

You need to be at least 18 years old in the United States or at least 20 years old in Thailand.

Do note that Facebook can restrict your access to Marketplace if you’re not an adult, your account is new/inactive, or you violated their Terms of Service.

How to fix “Marketplace Isn’t Available To You” on Facebook

To fix “Marketplace Isn’t Available To You” on Facebook, you can try using the browser version of Facebook or accessing Marketplace from the link in the Help Center.

You can also try to download Facebook Lite, change your birthday so that you’re 21 or above, or creating a new Facebook account.

Fix 1: Use the browser version of Facebook (iPhone/Android)

  1. Open a browser in incognito mode like Safari, Chrome, Brave, or Edge.
  2. Go to facebook.com and log in to your account.
  3. Click on the Marketplace icon or search for “Marketplace”.
  4. Start using Facebook Marketplace!

Fix 2: Access Marketplace from the Help Center

  1. Go to facebook.com/help/972392066266648.
  2. Click on the “Marketplace link” link.
  3. Log in to your Facebook account (if you’re not logged in yet).
  4. Start using Facebook Marketplace!

Fix 3: Download Facebook Lite (Android)

  1. Open the Google Play Store.
  2. Search for “Facebook Lite” and download it.
  3. Open the app and log in to your Facebook account.
  4. Tap on the Marketplace icon or search for “Marketplace”.
  5. Start using Facebook Marketplace!

Fix 4: Change your birthday

  1. Open the Facebook app and tap on the menu icon.
  2. Settings & Privacy > Settings > See more in Accounts Centre.
  3. Account settings > Personal details > Date of birth.
  4. Edit your date of birth to be 21 years old or above.
  5. Wait for 24 to 48 hours and try accessing Facebook Marketplace again.

Note: To access the Facebook Marketplace, you need to be at least 18 years old in some countries and 20 in other countries.

Fix 5: Create a new Facebook account

  1. Go to facebook.com and log out your account.
  2. Select “Create new account”.
  3. Enter your name, surname, phone number/email, and choose a password.
  4. Make sure to set your date of birth so that you’re 21 or above.
  5. Select “Sign Up” and log in to your new account.
  6. Tap on the Marketplace icon or search for “Marketplace”.
  7. Try accessing Facebook Marketplace.
