How to Fix Photo Mode Missing on TikTok

TikTok has a photo mode feature where you can add multiple photos into a slideshow.

You can swipe left to view the next photo and swipe right to view the previous photo.

However, many users reported that the feature is not working or missing.

According to TikTok, the feature is only available for selected accounts.

In this guide, you’ll learn how to fix photo mode missing, not showing, not working, or gone on iPhone or Android.

To fix the TikTok Photo Mode missing, you can try switching to another account and switching back to your main account.

You can also try adding a new account and switching back to your main account or uninstalling and reinstalling TikTok.

Fix 1: Switch to another account and switch back to your main

  1. Open the TikTok app and go to your profile.
  2. Tap on your username at the top of the page.
  3. Switch to another TikTok account.
  4. Tap on the “+” icon, try using photo mode, select a few photos, and post the slideshow as private.
  5. Force close the TikTok app and reopen it.
  6. Switch back to your main account.
  7. Try using photo mode in your main account.

Note: If you don’t have another TikTok account, you need to create a new one.

Fix 2: Add a new account and switch back to your main

  1. Open the TikTok app and go to your profile.
  2. Tap on your username at the top of the page.
  3. Select “Add account” and create a new TikTok account.
  4. Tap on the “+” icon, try using photo mode, select a few photos, and post the slideshow as private.
  5. Force close the TikTok app and reopen it.
  6. Switch back to your main account.
  7. Try using photo mode in your main account.

Note: When you’re uploading photos, make sure to tick “Select multiple” to select multiple photos for the photo mode feature to work.

Fix 3: Uninstall and reinstall TikTok

  1. Tap and hold the TikTok app.
  2. Select “Remove App” to delete it (this will also clear the app’s cache and data—including your drafts).
  3. Reinstall TikTok from the App Store or Google Play Store (this will also update the app to the latest version).
  4. Open the TikTok app and log in to your account.
  5. Tap on the “+” icon and try using photo mode.

Note: When you uninstall TikTok, all of your drafts will be deleted, so make sure to save them first.
