  2. Open the Battle.net desktop app.
  3. Select “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II”.
  4. Click on the settings icon > Modify Install.
  5. Install languages > Select any other language > Start Update.
  6. After MW2 has finished updating, launch it, and the shaders optimization will be fixed.

For Steam:

The fix is to clear the download cache:

  1. Close MW2 and Steam.
