3 Steps to Uninstall the Riot Client

The Riot Client is an app where you can download and play Riot Games.

The games include League of Legends, Valorant, Legends of Runeterra, and others.

Each time you play a Riot Game, the Riot Client will be utilized.

You just need to enter your login credentials once and you can play games without needing to log in again.

However, uninstalling the client is difficult because it doesn’t show up in the control panel.

In this guide, you’ll learn how to delete or uninstall the Riot Client in 3 easy steps from your PC (Windows 11/10).

How to uninstall the Riot Client

To uninstall the Riot Client, you need to open the file location for the Riot Client and navigate to “Riot Games”.

Once you’re there, delete the “Riot Client” folder.

Next, search for “Riot Client” using Windows Search and select “Open file location”.

Lastly, delete the “Riot Client” shortcut and empty the recycle bin.

1. Navigate to “Riot Games”

  1. Right-click the Riot Client on your desktop.
  2. Select “Open file location”.
  3. Select “Riot Games” on the address bar.

2. Delete the “Riot Client” folder

  1. Right-click the “Riot Client” folder.
  2. Select “Delete” to delete the folder.
  3. Search for “Riot Client” using Windows Search.
  4. Select “Open file location”.

3. Delete the “Riot Client” shortcut

  1. Right-click the “Riot Client” shortcut.
  2. Select “Delete” to delete the client.
  3. Right-click the Recycle Bin.
  4. Select “Empty Recycle Bin”.

After you’ve deleted the “Riot Client” folder and shortcut, the Riot Client will be successfully uninstalled from your PC.

If you want to uninstall Riot Games like League of Legends or Valorant, you can do so from the control panel.

Make sure to uninstall Riot Vanguard as well because it’s a Riot anti-cheat program.

Where is the Riot Client folder?

The Riot Client folder is typically located in the C Drive.

Here’s the location of the folder: This PC > Windows (C:) > Riot Games.

The “Riot Games” folder contains the files, folders, and applications that are related to the Riot Client.

This includes the RiotClientCrashHandler app, the RiotClientServices app, RiotGamesApi.dll, and more.
